It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… Nyhavn is decked in string lights, there are Christmas trees all around town, and julefrokost season is in full swing. Maybe you’re stuck in Copenhagen this holiday season, but it’s certainly not a bad city to be stuck in… especially with all the exciting openings and events in December! Alouette – Now Open on Sunday

Sundays just got a whole lot saucier! It can sometimes be hard to find restaurants open on Sundays, but now Restaurant Alouette is open for dinner service on Sundays, with seatings from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. #SundayFunday! Click here to book your table.

Juno the Bakery – Holiday Pastries

Christmas came early at Copenhagen’s best bakery. Saffron buns and seasonal offerings are now available at Juno the Bakery, including a saffron and sea buckthorn cake, French nougats, caramels, and confit oranges dipped in chocolate. (Hint hint: perfect stocking stuffers!) Of course, you can still get your cardamom bun fix as well.

POPL – The Noma Burger Returns

The rumors were true! Hart Brød + Bar officially opened on November 15th, and now POPL, Noma’s new burger bar, will open on December 3rd. Most tables are reserved for walk-ins, but reservations are available for groups of 6-8 people. Click here to read everything we know so far about the new restaurant.

Poulette

Fried chicken lovers, rejoice! The much-anticipated fried chicken sandwich shop from the Pompette team opens on December 2nd, right next to their natural wine bar in Nørrebro. Click here to read our review.

Solfinn x Café Stadion x Will King Smith

Solfinn & friends are here to #MakeMondaysMemorableAgain with their Monday night pop-ups at Café Stadion. Rotating guest chefs curate a set menu, and Solfinn pours the juice. Will King Smith (of Will at the Bridge) will be the next chef on December 7th, serving Asian dumplings and noodles. Click here to book a table.

It’s always happy hour at Balderdash! Especially now with their collab with Copenhagen’s best burger, Gasoline Grill. Step 1: sit at the bar and order via the Gasoline Grill app. Step 2: take your burger combo up a notch with a boozy milkshake or a dirty martini. Step 3: enjoy!!! Available Wednesday-Saturday from 4:00 pm till sold out. Collab lasts until the end of 2020.

Barr – Christmas Menu

‘Tis the season for flæskesteg, duck, potatoes, and brown sauce! Christmas time is here, and Barr is celebrating with all of the traditional dishes. You can book a four-course dinner, or book the Julebord Christmas lunch (served on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays). The Christmas menu begins November 27 and ends December 20. Koan x Empirical

After 108 closed in September, Kristian Baumann bounced back with a brand new restaurant! Koan is a pop-up restaurant inside the Empirical Spirits distillery on Refshaleøen. They serve an 11-course tasting menu inspired by Baumann’s South Korean roots and Nordic ingredients. A wine pairing, non-alcoholic pairing, and a cocktail pairing curated by Empirical will be available. The bar and lounge area is also open for walk-ins, serving a complete cocktail menu crafted by Empirical. (Yes, Fuck Trump palomas are on the menu!) Koan x Empirical will last until the end of 2020.
