RUMORS & FOOD NEWS – APRIL 2024

The holidays haven't slowed things down much in Copenhagen. Restaurant Aure opened in the venue that was formerly home to 56 Grader. The head chef Nicky Arentsen previously worked at AOC, Henne Kirkeby Kro, and Jordnær. Gaijin posted that they will vacate their current space at the end of May, and are searching for a new venue to focus on fine dining. Connection by Alan Bates will start serving a shorter, simpler menu on Saturdays for lunch – perfect for those who want to make the most of their weekends. New restaurant Dolores will open in Carlsberg Byen next week, serving food inspired by San Francisco's colorful Mission District. Finally, omelette king Mati Pichci will open Amator in a few weeks in Østerbro.

In Bornholm, the Kadeau team announced they are now co-owners of Eco Beach Camp, with beachfront glamping accommodations now available for restaurant guests.

In Oslo, restaurant Bon Lio has re-opened for the third time in a new venue in Storgata. Another new opening is Hos Peder with food inspired by the Mediterranean.

We are expanding The Hungries team with new Community Leaders around the world. In addition to our monthly events in Copenhagen and Oslo, we've added new Community Leaders in Malmö, Slovenia, San Francisco, and Los Angeles! This means we'll be having more Hungries events around the world in 2024. And we won't stop there... stay tuned to see which other cities we are launching events in this year!

COPENHAGEN EVENTS

The Copenhagen crowd is keeping busy this spring. On April 12th, they'll enjoy a cocktail tasting at The Union Local, and on April 13th, they're joining forces for a potluck dinner. Finally, on April 27th, they'll head to Jatak, for a Michelin-starred meal with extra off-menu dishes from the test kitchen! Plus, lots more to be announced soon for May and June! Did someone say Champagne and caviar?

MALMÖ EVENTS

Our next Malmö event of the year will take place on May 4th. Join The Hungries in the chambre séparée of restaurant Marie Antoinette. You'll get to try a pre-tasting of a new menu, before it's available to anyone else, featuring ingredients grown on their farm.

OSLO EVENTS

In Oslo, The Hungries will partake in a donut-baking class on April 24th with the one and only Instagram sensation, Daisy Donuts! Have you ever wanted to learn how to bake fluffy donuts? Now's your chance!

But it's not just a Scandinavia club! We have events coming up later this spring in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Slovenia!
