RUMORS & FOOD NEWS – FEBRUARY 2024

In Copenhagen, the Adria brothers are the talk of the town, as elBulli x Alchemist held a series of pop-up dinners this past weekend. In other top restaurant news, reservations for Noma's last vegetable season were just released. Didn't snag one? We still have three seats left on The Hungries forum!

On the more casual side, Alice and Benji just announced that they're opening a new ice cream shop in Carlsberg Byen: Aurora. But have no fear – you'll still be able to get your scoops at Alice, too! Amager is also getting a new wine bar, wine shop, and bistro: Vinfar, from the team behind Toto and Pirlo. Chef Davide Laudato's restaurant Topicàl has transformed from a fine dining spot into Paesàno, a casual Italian joint. The Hungries will be some of the first to try the new concept at our event in March. Join the club to join the fun!

In Oslo, an exciting bakery and brasserie is about to hit the scene: Lutlaget. Pastry chef Diana Elizondo (formerly of Maaemo) will run the bakery and her partner, chef Martin Gnecco (formerly of Panu), will run the brasserie.

This month in Trondheim, chef Christopher Davidsen will open his new restaurant, Tollbua, a Nordic gourmet bistro in the historic Toldboden. His former colleague from Speilsalen, Henrik Dahl Jahnsen, will join him as the sommelier.

We are expanding The Hungries team with new Community Leaders around the world. In addition to our monthly events in Copenhagen and Oslo, we've just added new Community Leaders in Malmö, Slovenia, and San Francisco! This means we'll be having more Hungries events around the world in 2024. And we won't stop there... stay tuned to see which other cities we are launching events in this year!

COPENHAGEN EVENTS

The Copenhagen crowd is keeping busy this winter. On Sunday, the crew is heading to Tilda & Karl for a fondue night. On March 9th, they'll be some of the first to try Paesàno, the new Neapolitan concept from Davide Laudato. Some events have already been announced for April, including a non-alcoholic cocktail tasting at Union Local, and a potluck dinner.

MALMÖ EVENTS

Our first Malmö event of the year will take place on March 3rd. Join The Hungries for a cocktail class at our favorite bar in Malmö, Care/Of. Learn some cocktail history and how to make built, shaken, and stirred drinks. The next Malmö event will be on May 4th – more info coming soon on the forum.

OSLO EVENTS

In Oslo, The Hungries are headed back to Skaal this weekend for a special dinner with Bibito wines. The next event will be on February 20th – head to Discord to find out what it will be!

But it's not just a Scandinavia club! The London Hungries have a dinner booked at Planque on February 20th (two spots left!) and the first San Francisco event will be announced on the forum this week...
