Hi
Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with lots of great food. We spent Christmas in Norway this year, and we spent our time off reflecting on our very best meals of last year, and compiled our annual list of the Top 25 Dishes of 2024. This is always our favorite blog post of the year (basically our food diary!), so we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it.
In other personal post news, we've just shared a full recap of our Copenhagen wedding on the blog, with lots of pictures from our big day. And if you're planning a wedding and looking for tips, we've got some of those too!
Our Oslo map also got a big refresh recently, with 9 (!!) new additions, and a whole lot of updates. We’re always trying to keep our guides as up to date as possible, featuring the city’s best restaurants. Happy eating!
RUMORS & FOOD NEWS – JANUARY 2025 So much is happening in Copenhagen these days! Fastelavnsbolle season has started early this year, with bakeries already selling the seasonal buns two months before the holiday. Camino in Kødbyen is rebranding as Camour and the team behind Phago is opening a new Italian restaurant called Margo in Vesterbro. Prolog Coffee has opened a new café and roastery in Frederiksberg. In sadder news, restaurant Toto in Amager has announced that they will close February 1st.
Here's the latest food news from Oslo! The city is booming with new bakeries – and the newest addition is from The Little Pickle. You'll find their new café in the same location as their restaurant, which is still open as normal in the evenings. Stykke is opening another location in the city center. CRU announced that they will move locations to Bjørvika in April. Also in Oslobukta, cocktail bar Poppy has announced their closure. Further south in Norway, after many successful pop-ups, ZZ Pizza Frederikstad is slated to open this month!
