Located in Vesterbro in Copenhagen, Westmarket was an indoor street food market with various restaurants and deli shops. It was the largest indoor food market in Denmark when it opened and the Vesterbro equivalent to Torvehallerne in Nørrebro. Unlike Torvehallerne, however, everything was gathered under one roof. At Westmarket, you found various stands with street food from all over the world, a pizzeria, a tapas bar, and a risotto bar, as well as a chocolate store, a beer store, and a wine shop. The Swedish chef Magnus Petersson (with a background from Aamanns) opened his first edition of Selma here. Henrik Yde (Kiin Kiin, Bao Bao, Veve) offered a takeaway version of his Thai kitchen. Duck It served duck sandwiches – both burger size and smaller sliders. The super trendy Taiwanese gua bao had its own stand, called Super Bao. Fiskur made Icelandic specialties with seafood. Two Socks served gin-based cocktails and Arnes Bottleshop & Bar offered pre-made cocktails on tap. Westmarket closed in 2018.
