Chef Patrik Castillo (formerly of La Ragazza) is the chef of Gondolen, a restaurant in Södermalm suspended in midair over Stockholm’s port, with sweeping views of the city. This jaw-dropping venue formerly housed Eriks Gondolen, a restaurant from chef Erik Lallerstedt, but closed in 2019. It underwent renovations for a few years before reopening as Gondolen. Castillo’s sophisticated menu aims to play with classic dishes, and includes dishes like fish gratin, ravioli with roasted porcini mushrooms, and a roe serving with butter-fried toast topped with almond potato cream. Gondolen is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, 365 days a year.
