Eating smørrebrød and drinking snaps is one of our favorite Danish traditions. A great place to devour these Danish delights is at Christianshavn Færgecafé, a traditional restaurant along the canals, known for its smørrebrød and homemade snaps. Captain Erik Frandsen at Færgecaféen has created Skippersnaps, his own line of homemade snaps, so now you can bring a piece of the restaurant magic home with you and try making some snaps cocktails. Captain Erik has made three different snapses to begin with (more to come) – Golden Delicious (apple), Rød Blomme (red plum), and Grøn Taffel (cucumber and cumin). Bartender Toby Efteland created three unique cocktails using these snaps, and we shot a series of videos for Skippersnaps, showcasing how the snaps can be used to create tasty cocktails at home. Keep reading to see the recipes and videos.
