Located on Youngs gate 11-13, and part of the restaurant collective Made in Oslo, The Tea Room was a fine dining restaurant by Luke Henderson (head chef) and Jefferson Goldring (head sommelier) next to their wine and snack bar Imperial. The menu consisted of 12-14 courses for a limited amount of guests – up to 20 seats each night. There were only three chefs in the kitchen including Henderson. The front-of-house team was led by sommelier Jefferson Goldring, who paired wines to Luke’s creations. You could see Henderson’s British background in the food, but the skills learned at Maaemo were evident too. The Tea Room closed due to the tragic death of Luke Henderson in 2021.
