Restaurant Palægade 2.0

The smørrebrød restaurant that tragically burned down on March 11th, 2020, will reopen on May 1. Palægade will serve classic Danish open-faced sandwiches for lunch and a more French-leaning menu in the evening, with oysters, turbot, and steak au poivre among the dishes. The Formel B group is still the owner of the restaurant, but the front and back of house team is brand new (the old team went on to open Møntergade). Luckas Jensen (former sous chef at Formel B) is the head chef, Gustav Vilholm (formerly of Tyven & Kokken) leads the front of house, and Johan Henrik Kirketerp-Møller is the restaurant manager and sommelier.

Rødder og Vin x Censuum

Everyone’s favorite natural wine bike delivery boy, Solfinn, is opening a new wine bar inside Censuum, a new department store opening close to Torvehallerne. This outpost of Rødder og Vin will serve natural wine from taps only – a more sustainable, and more affordable way of drinking. Buy a glass or even a pitcher to-go, starting on May 27th when they open.

Silberbauers Bistro

The venue that previously was home to Manfreds won’t sit empty for long – Silberbauers Bistro will open on Jægersborggade on May 6th. Click here to read our interview with Mathias Silberbauer with all the details about his French bistro.
