Bevi Bevi & Bar La Una Pop-Up – March 30th-April 2nd

Italian restaurants Bevi Bevi and Bar La Una are taking over the kitchen at ÅBEN Brewery in Kødbyen for the first weekend of April. They will serve a selection of Italian dishes and antipasti. Click here to book a table.

Kilden – April 1st

Opening in Tivoli in Copenhagen is Kilden, a modern Danish bistro with a focus on sustainability, from chef and co-owner Christian Hoffmann (formerly of Almanak). The restaurant is located in the venue that formerly housed Restaurant Gemyse. Smørrebrød is served for lunch, and there is a seasonal three-course and seven-course tasting menu available for dinner, highlighting local Danish ingredients. Click here to book a table.

VinDuo – April 2nd

Join Rosforth & Rosforth for their annual wine fair on Sunday, April 2nd at Odd Fellow Palæet (Odd Fellows Mansion). Taste 50 different wines for 300 DKK. Click here to buy a ticket.

Ripotot x Botti – April 2nd

On April 2nd, Ripotot is doing a pop-up at the wine bar Botti. There will be a seven-course menu as well as a seven-glass wine pairing alongside the food. The price is 995 DKK per person, and the wine pairing is an additional 995 DKK. Click here to book a table.

Koan – April 4th

Chef Kristian Baumann’s restaurant Koan is finally set to open in its permanent venue. The Korean-inspired fine dining restaurant started as a pop-up inside the Empirical distillery, then moved to a temporary location inside the former Relæ space on Jægersborggade. Topicàl – April 5th

On Wednesday, April 5th, Topicàl is set to open in the venue that formerly housed restaurant Relæ, on Jægersborggade in Nørrebro. Topicàl is a vegetable-focused, organic, and sustainable restaurant from chef Davide Laudato. The style of the restaurant is casual gourmet with roots in the Italian style of cooking.

Easter Feast at Admiralgade 26 – April 5th

On Wednesday, April 5th, Admiralgade 26 will host an Easter feast with eggs and Danish lamb roast with all the trimmings. The price is 325 DKK per person – seats are communal, and dishes are shared family-style. Click here to book a table.

The Housewife Roast – April 12th

The next dinner hosted by The Caribbean Housewife will take place on Wednesday, April 12th. This month’s menu theme honors the great Julia Child with four French-inspired (plant-based) dishes alongside French wines. Click here to book a table.

Danish Coffee Festival – April 14th-16th

This weekend, the Specialty Coffee Association of Denmark is hosting their annual Danish Coffee Festival, a three-day fair devoted to specialty coffee. The events kick off on Friday, April 14th and finishes on Sunday, April 16th, serving all the coffee you can drink from local Danish roasters as well as international roasters like Koppi, Obadiah, and a Matter of Concrete. Madland Food Festival – April 20th-23rd

The sustainability-focused food festival, Madland, is back – this time in the spring. Gorda x Seks – April 26th

Seks is hosting their first-ever Wednesday pop-up, with friends from Gorda. Together with Argentinian chefs Gonzalo and Lucho, they will cook some great Latin American dishes to be served on a five-course pescatarian or vegetarian tasting menu. Click here to book a table.

Pizza x Pet Nat Party  – April 27th

On Thursday, April 27th, there will be a pizza and pet nat party at Rascal, when Æblerov Cider will swing by with juicy fruit pet nats that pair well with pizza.

Summer Opening Party – April 28th

Summer starts… now! Or on April 28th, when Åben Brewery in Kødbyen is throwing a summer opening party. There will be beer, barbecue, DJs, and dance floors.

Viktoriagade Street Party – April 29th

On Saturday, April 29th, Mikkeller will kick off beer week by throwing a combined street party and birthday party on Viktoriagade in Vesterbro. It will honor the bar where things first started, thirteen years ago. The street will be closed to traffic for the day, and there will be burgers, cocktails, kebabs, birthday cake, and, of course, lots of beers. Click here to see the full schedule of activities.

The Caribbean Housewife x Kulturtårnet – Every Friday until May 26th

The Caribbean Housewife is returning to Knippelsbro, serving food and natural wine alongside one of the city’s most unique views. Every Friday, from mid-February through May, the Culture tower welcomes guests to The Caribbean Housewife’s second Plantebistro. The plant-based menu includes an amuse bouche and a three-course shared menu featuring organic, seasonal produce. Dim Sum Feast – April 1st

Where do you find the best dim sum in Scandinavia? Possibly at Zen Dim Sum, which recently opened in Frederiksberg. This place is approved by several of our Hungry members – want to try it for yourself? Join us for a dumpling feast! Copenhagen Hungries are doing a full takeover of the restaurant for lunch on Saturday, April 1st. Try thirteen different types of dim sum plus a couple of surprises.

Dinner at POPL – April 15th

On Saturday, April 15th, the Copenhagen Hungries are heading to POPL, Noma’s burger restaurant, for a specially curated menu. You’ll receive a burger of your choice and a matching wine or non-alcoholic pairing. Kristian Rise, the beverage manager, will personally host us and has promised to pick some really cool wines from their cellar to go with the meal designed specifically for The Hungries. It should be a really great opportunity to experience their new fixed menu since head Chef Toni Toivanen (formerly Noma R&D and Inua) took the reins.

Wine Tasting with Heinrich – April 27th

The Hungries’ favorite wine producer, Heinrich, from Burgenland, Austria, will be in Copenhagen in April to host an exclusive wine tasting for The Hungries. We’re taking over Lille Blå on Thursday, April 27th for an intimate evening with The Heinrichs. Come taste six different wines, eat some snacks, and learn all about natural winemaking with some big time Austrian wine legends! Join the club to join the event.
