Located in Grünerløkka in Oslo (in the old venue of Heimatt), The Little Pickle is a neighborhood restaurant, inspired by British gastropubs like The Laughing Heart and St. John’s in London. The chefs are Tom Downes (Maaemo, The Tea Room), and Stina Hjalmarson (Maaemo, Koka).
In January 2021, we did an interview where we broke the news about The Little Pickle. The original founders of the project were Luke Henderson (Imperial, The Tea Room), Sandra Kristiansen (general manager), Marco Mogueis (co-owner), and Marcello Tiboni (originally intended as the head chef). Due to the tragic death of Luke Henderson, the project was on hold for a while, until new chefs were hired.
