The Hungries – Upcoming Events
Join our members-only food club! We are having both in-person events in Copenhagen as well as virtual events that you can join from anywhere in the world. VIP members also get discounts and perks at participating Copenhagen restaurants! Click here to read more. Here’s what’s coming up for The Hungries in June… Note: spots for these specific events may be filled, but join the club to get on the waitlist for these events, and to attend future events with The Hungries.
Sushi Anaba Counter Takeover – June 5th
The Hungries are taking over the counter of Sushi Anaba, one of the hardest to snag reservations in Copenhagen! We’ve booked all 8 counter seats for our VIP members, and will be filming a YouTube video featuring chef Mads Battefeld’s omakase. After the meal, we will enjoy bottles of wine by the water in Nordhavn.
Girls Brunch at Sanchez – June 13th
Calling all taco lovers and margarita enthusiasts – we’re having a girls brunch at Sanchez in Vesterbro. We will enjoy Rosio Sanchez’s three-course brunch tasting menu, margaritas, and surely have a mezcal shot or two!
Boys Lunch at Toldbod Bodega – June 13th
While the ladies are brunching, the boys will be lunching at Toldbod Bodega. Gentlemen – put on your best attire, and get ready for an afternoon of smørrebrød, snaps, and general debauchery. (Did anyone watch the movie Druk?) The Sunday Funday will culminate with an epic girls vs. boys showdown, and probably will include many bottles of natural wine in the park.
Virtual Wine Tasting with Lammidia – June 17th
Next up in our virtual event series is a wine tasting with Lammidia, one of our favorite natural wine producers, based in Abruzzo, Italy. For this tasting, instead of all drinking the same bottles, the goal is to have as many different wines as possible! They make so many different cuvées, so we thought it would be fun if everyone tried to find special bottles so we can taste the rainbow of Lammidia virtually. Bring whatever Lammidia bottle you can find – bonus points if you can find a unique cuvée or vintage no one else has! Join The Hungries (VIP level) to reserve your spot.
Ice Cream Class with Østerberg Ice Cream – June 27th
Do you scream for ice cream? Then you will definitely scream for our limited edition ice cream flavor we have created with Østerberg Ice Cream! For one week only, Østerberg will serve our signature ice cream creation – a buttermilk pancake soft serve topped with crispy pancake crumble. Of course, VIP members of The Hungries are invited to try the new flavor first, at the pancake ice cream launch party! Catherine Østerberg will also teach us about the science behind making ice cream – free for our members. Note: Spots for this event are still available, so sign up quickly!
