Although most of the Danes have abandoned Copenhagen in favor of their summer houses in the countryside, there’s still quite a lot happening this August – for tourists and locals alike. Restaurant KOKS is popping up inside Tivoli until September, the Copenhagen Cooking festival returns at the end of the month, and so much more. h27 x People Like Us – August 6th

Hotel h27 is hosting a garden party on Friday, August 6th with Danish local brewery People Like Us. The event will take place in h27’s courtyard and the purpose is to bring awareness to socially marginalized groups. Come with an open mind, and come hungry – Restaurant PUK has prepared two and three-course menus, and beers from People Like Us will be available for purchase. Read more info here.

Rufino Osteria x Rouge Oysters – August 7th

Oysters, pasta, live music, and more! Enjoy a long table dinner from Rufino Osteria x Rouge Oysters inside the beautiful Nikolaj Kunsthal, an old church in the city center. There will be DJs in the courtyard before dinner, and live music performances after dinner. Read more info here.

Grønt Marked – August 8th

On the second Sunday of every month (from May until December), you’ll find the city’s biggest farmer’s market, Grønt Marked, pop up on Refshaleøen. Shop organic vegetables, ciders, kombuchas, kimchi, ferments, and so much more.

Ruby x Kamilla Seidler – August 8th

Popular cocktail bar Ruby is hosting a series of summer pop-ups featuring local chefs. On August 8th, Kamilla Seidler and the team from Lola will take over the kitchen and Ruby will shake up some special drinks for the occasion. Beau Clugston of Iluka will be next up in the chef series – stay tuned for more info!

Madland – August 12-October 10

The sustainability-focused food festival, Madland, kicks off on August 12th and lasts until October 10th. According to their website, their mission is to “connect and equip professional food people as well as food citizens to take an active position on our responsibility and influence in sustainable change.” Click here to see the full program of events.

Copenhagen Cooking – August 20-29

Copenhagen’s annual food festival, Copenhagen Cooking, returns on August 20-29. The 10-day festival includes cooking classes and exciting restaurant pop-ups. Click here to see the full program.

Ved Stranden 10 x Lola – August 23rd

As part of the Copenhagen Cooking festival, Ved Stranden 10 and restaurant Lola are teaming up to bring Copenhageners an unforgettable Monday evening. Silberbauers Bistro Fruit de Mer Menu – August 25-26th

Fiskebaren’s Shellfish Party – August 25th

As part of the Copenhagen Cooking festival, Fiskebaren is throwing an outdoor shellfish party, with oysters, langoustines, mussels, crayfish, shrimp, and sourdough bread and dips. There will also be live music. Click here to book your table.

KOKS Pop-Up at Tivoli

Restaurant KOKS on the Faroe Islands has a summer residency at the Japanese Tower inside Tivoli. From July 17th until September 4th, experience Faroese flavors right here in Copenhagen. Click here to book your table.

Copenhagen Food Tour – September 16-19th

Want to join us on an epic, weekend-long food tour in Copenhagen? We’re planning an all-inclusive food tour this September, visiting some of the city’s hottest restaurants. We’ll eat Copenhagen’s best burger, best pizza, best smørrebrød, best pastries, and best ice cream, and the trip will culminate with dinner at restaurant Alchemist – one of the world’s most groundbreaking culinary destinations.
