THE ITINERARY

Thursday, September 16th

Arrive + check in to Hotel Ottilia. Relax, recharge, and get ready for an unforgettable weekend!

(Optional) Spa session at AIRE Ancient Baths.

5:30pm: The tour begins! Meet in the hotel lobby.

6pm: Welcome drinks at VinSuperNaturel!
Get to know us and the rest of the food tour guests while drinking bubbles at VinSuperNaturel, one of our favorite natural wine stores in Copenhagen. We’ll kick off the food tour with a welcome toast in VSN’s tasting room, and a lucky few guests will get to try their hand at sabering bottles of bubbles! Let’s get the party started!

8pm: Dinner at Surt.
We’re beginning the food festivities at Copenhagen’s best new pizzeria, Surt. Pizzaiolo Peppe Oliva helped open Bæst before branching out to open his own sourdough pizzeria. His style of dough is unlike anything we’ve ever had – fluffy, crispy, and extremely thin, topped with seasonal ingredients from local farmers. Come hungry!

(Optional) Night cap at kōnā, where Empirical is taking over the bar for the night. Swing by the izakaya to sample Empirical’s new katsuobushi spirit or to try one of their signature cocktails.

Friday, September 17th

(Optional) 7:00 – 10:00 am: Hotel breakfast.

12pm: Lunch at Gasoline Grill (Carlsberg Byen location).
It’s no secret that Gasoline Grill makes our favorite burger in Copenhagen. It’s an all-organic masterpiece – a semi-smashed, caramelized patty served in a potato bun. With melt-in-your-mouth meat and cheese, onions and pickles for acidity, and Gasoline’s signature sauce (a tart and tangy chili mayo), this burger might change your life. But don’t take our word for it – come try it for yourself!

1pm: Walking tour of Carlsberg Byen.
Let us show you around our favorite neighborhood in Copenhagen! That’s right, it’s time for #HistoryWithHusa – Anders will lead us on a walking tour and tell some stories of the history of Carlsberg Brewery and the amazing architecture.

(Optional) Spa session at AIRE Ancient Baths OR free time to explore!

6pm: Omakase at kōnā.
We’re taking over the chef’s counter at Japanese restaurant kōnā – the new restaurant from the Slurp team. The omakase counter is helmed by chef Jessica Natali (formerly of fine dining restaurants Noma, and Inua in Tokyo) and the tasting menu focuses on Danish seafood and seasonal vegetables.

8pm: Izakaya bites and drinks at kōnā.
After our tasting menu downstairs, we’ll relocate to the top floor to try even more of kōnā’s offerings. Sip yuzu lemonade, Japanese highballs, or Austrian natural wine, and snack on their famous pork katsu sandos, chicken karaage, and kimchi toasts.

Saturday, September 18th

(Optional) 7:00 – 10:00 am: Hotel breakfast.

9:45am: Meet in the hotel lobby.

10am: Coffee class at Coffee Collective (Torvehallerne location).
Sip on coffee from Copenhagen’s world-class roastery, Coffee Collective, and sample pastries from their new bakery, Collective Bakery.

12pm: Smørrebrød lunch at Selma.
You can’t visit Copenhagen without eating smørrebrød! Selma’s modern interpretations of the Danish open-faced sandwich have received many awards – and landed the restaurant in the Michelin guide. These stunning sandwiches are as tasty as they are beautiful.

(Optional) Spa session at AIRE Ancient Baths OR free time to explore!

5pm: Dinner at Alchemist.
One of the world’s most sought-after reservations is restaurant Alchemist – a culinary capital in Copenhagen. Join us as we embark on a dining journey like no other, and experience 50 impressions from chef mastermind Rasmus Munk.

Sunday, September 19th

(Optional) 7:00 – 10:00 am: Hotel breakfast.

11:30am: Meet in the hotel lobby.

12pm: Farewell pastry and ice cream party at Alice.
It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later! We’ll end our fantastic food weekend on a sweet note at Alice, Copenhagen’s hidden gem bakery and ice cream parlor. We’ll sample all their pastries, including their award-winning croissant and their legendary brunsviger (a brown sugar coffee cake), and we’ll indulge in their signature ice cream lollipops.

6pm: Insatiables-only AFTER PARTY at the Husa household!
Craving an encore? Level up your Hungries membership to get an invite to our home for an exclusive after party. We’ll start with an aperitivo and some snacks, and then we’ll cook you dinner, serve you wine, and Kaitlin will bake a dessert. After dinner, Anders will shake up some cocktails. Put on your dancing shoes… this party may go late! (Note: the after party is exclusively for The Insatiables.)

The Fine Print:

  • Oh yeah! That little thing called Covid… Right now, Denmark’s borders are open to travelers with a valid “corona passport.” This means, you will have to show proof, 1) that you’re vaccinated, 2) that you’ve been previously infected, or 3) that you have a negative test within 72 hours. You will need to show this “coronapas” at all restaurants, hotels, museums, and events while in Denmark. Depending on which country you are traveling from, there may be a quarantine requirement (if you are not vaccinated). You also may need to present a negative test to your airline before traveling. Please read up on the current travel restrictions and requirements before booking your trip. We cannot take responsibility if you are denied entry into the country.
  • The price of this trip is calculated for two guests to share a room at the hotel. If you are traveling solo and prefer a single room, an additional fee will apply.
