Copenhagen’s Best Smørrebrød Crawl – June 1st

The food crawling continues for the hungriest of Hungries – this time, with a tour of Copenhagen’s best smørrebrød! The tour will begin at Schønnemann, an institution in the city. We’ll start with traditional sandwiches, including herring and eel. The next stop, will be Møntergade, where we will enjoy a slightly more modern take on classic smørrebrød. On the menu: deep-fried plaice with remoulade and roast beef. Our tour will conclude at Selma, where the Danish sandwiches are actually prepared by a Swedish chef. We will end with our all-time favorite smørrebrød: Selma’s famous shrimp sandwich. This tour will be COMPLETELY FREE for members of the Hungries, but spots will be extremely limited. Join the club to join the event.

Boutique Emilia Takeover – June 10th

What do we do when a place is hard to book?! We book the whole restaurant for The Hungries, of course! We’ve reserved Boutique Emilia for a very special pasta party. Not only do we get the whole place to ourselves, but they’re making us an extra special menu that is BIGGER and BETTER than what they normally serve. Translated: WE GET MORE PASTA!!! I’m talking egg yolk raviolo, I’m talking tortellini with Parmigiano Reggiano cream and balsamic vinegar, I’m talking tagliatelle with Parma ham, I’m talking ravioli ricotta and asparagus with crunchy pancetta, and I’m talking ravioli with ricotta, Mortadella, and pistachios. A total of seven courses will be served, including starters like Italian cheese and charcuterie, five pasta dishes, and dessert of your choice. (Yes, you should wear your stretchy pants for this one!)
